How does this work?

In these type of auctions, the bidder needs to purchase the right to bid on items. In the case of bidtent.com, each bid is $0.75/ea, with a minimum purchase of 25 bids (but you get 5 free when you sign up!). Every time you bid, it takes one bid away from your remaining bids and it will increment the price of the item by $0.01.

I always get outbid! The auctions never seem to end. Why is that?

Whenever someone places a bid, 20 seconds are added to the clock. This lets other interested users place another bid on the item (or try to hop in at the last second and try to win). When no one else is willing to bid on the item and time runs out, the last bidder wins that auction. Since no one else knows who is in the running, an auction could end at any time.

What is the BidButler?

This allows bidders to commit a certain number of bids where the system will "auto bid" for that user in their absence (e.g. overnight or while they are "working"). A bidder will set a price they are willing to go up to and the amount of bids they are willing to commit. In the auction status you can see which users are using the BidButler.

My Bids did not show up. Why not?

Google Checkout occasionally does fraud checks on purchases. If you purchased a few bid packs in one day or bought an expensive bid pack, it may flag it in Google's system. Please email us if you do not get your bids in a few minutes and we can check our Google merchant account to see what is going on. If Google is researching the transaction we would be unable to credit your account with bids. While this may not happen at the best time for you, please understand bidtent.com is not doing the investigation.

Doesn't that make it easier for you, the site owner, to cheat?

While some site owners do use the "auto bid" feature of this software to bid on their own auctions, BidTent.com will never do that to our bidders. If there is only 1 bid on an item and the auction ends, that is what it will sell for. Only bidders can use the auto bid BidButler system.

What about win limits?

A touchy subject to be sure, but since some people just want to scare other people away, there is a 3 win limit over 7 rolling days (your limit is determined by your earliest win, not a day on the calendar). You can also only win one of each item that is over $275.00 (special promo items exluded). This is always subject to change without any notice whatsoever.

I am stil not understanding clearly but want to participate. How can I contact you?
